Bachelor of Science

Woooopiiiieeeeeee! That's exactly what I exclaimed after receiving an email telling me that I have been awarded the Bachelor of Science.

Ahem....ahem! My name is Gabriel Gim, BSc.

After 3 months of hardwork and lack of sleep, I got what I have put in tirelessly. A degree! The 3 months of research I have been through is one of the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. Full of agony, satisfaction, frustration, and networking! It is indeed invaluable!

Now I'm just waiting for the postman to give me the certificate. Waiting, waiting....grin!

Haircut

I just had a haircut lastweek. I went to Hair Perfect in E-Gate to obtain my brand new haircut.

Unbelievably, the haircut took the barber a wholesome two hours to cut my hair. Wait....two hours!! LOL!

Why? You might asked. I came in the salon with this hair.
And I told the hairstylist "Give me this hairstyle"

"Well....ok" they claimed.
I was seated. I was given a wash and they cut my hair. One hour passed and I saw the mirror...the image is coming....the image is coming. Yes yes....
Finally, tadaaaaa.....here you are. This is what I got.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I said.....No No No.... I want this
Please, please cut it shorter....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another half an hour pass....and voila....I got this instead.
I was thinking. I want it shorter....anyway. Hmmmm....ok la, not bad not bad. Why not, why not! This hairstyle is good enough.

So I walked out a happy man but RM38 poorer.

Rommel and the NEP Policy

"Thierry Rommel should be kicked out from Malaysia" Datuk Mohamad Aziz (BN - Sri Gading) lambasted.

He again!

“Many officials from European nations had interfered into other countries’ affairs without understanding the repercussions,” he added.

~~~~~~~
Let's hear what the Opposition said.
Lim Kit Siang claimed that Malaysians had already identified the causes of the country’s poor productivity and declining competitiveness.
“But when Rommel or other foreigners make bona fide comments or criticisms about the country, there is no need for government leaders to OVERREACT or RESORT TO IRRATIONAL RESPONSES,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.
Wow.....she must be very very very very very very angry.
Hello, no need to overreact and resort to irrational responses lar......over Rommel's comments.
“He has always had this problem with his attitude,” Datuk Seri Rafidah said.
~~~~~~~

Centre for Public Policy Studies (CPPS) chairman Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam said those who had protested against Rommel’s comments should substantiate it with valid data and statistics.

He said that while Rommel’s statement did not follow proper diplomatic protocol, it was increasingly necessary for all Malaysians to carefully examine the criticism, besides professionally assessing the contents for its truth and relevant implications.

“The CPPS feels that it is imperative for Malaysia to constantly review its socio-economic policies to ensure they are effective in promoting real sustained socio-economic development for all Malaysians in the long run,” he said.
So true of what Tan Sri Ramon has explained.
~~~~~~~
Now let's see how Rommel was to defend himself.
“It is not my intention to meddle in domestic affairs and that was not the rationale of my speech"
“The rationale of the NEP in my speech is that it has bearings on the negotiations with the Free Trade Agreement between EU and Asean"
“I did not say the NEP was discriminatory nor did I call for it to be scrapped"
“One should read the entire speech to understand the context”
~~~~~~~~

NOW nOw, what I feel about all this ruckus is ridiculous.

What Lim Kit Siang has said is correct....
We have to accept bona fide comments or constructive criticisms in a positive note. And not be overly emotional and make lots and lots of noises or even some emotional gestures (look at the picture above).
And also I fully agree with what Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam has said.
And I wonder who's the one having the attitude problem. Malaysians just can't accept constructive criticisms and are so over-protective of the NEP policies which only benefited one group of ethnic communities.
I wonder if the Orang Asli do really benefited from this or only a certain 'group of connected people' receives all the so-called contracts and privileges. So the rich gets richer and the poor remains poor. No wonder the NEP has been politicised, period.

BN reps and the GT Babes

DO ALL MEN LIKE TO LOOK AT NAKED WOMEN?

That's the question posed by Datuk Mohamed Aziz (BN - Sri Gading).

DOH!!!!

Maybe some men like to look at naked men....ooops I forgot. Sorry.

But come on....

I was reading the paper and I saw that question/statement by Datuk Mohamed Aziz. I don't know whether to cry or to laugh. Man, what's wrong with our BN backbenchers nowadays.

He was referring to the racy dressing worn by the Super GT models during the racing events.
He also asked why the authorities seemed to be reluctant to take action against foreigners when they committed offences (the offence of wearing scantily clad dress) in the country.

Hello! This is Malaysia, not Afghanistan. What's wrong with women's dressing sexily? Is that a crime?

Seriously, what's wrong with Malaysians! Are you living in a jungle and have not seen a sexy woman before?

Come on, grow up and be a man. If you can't stand seeing a scantily clad woman, go back to the jungle. And by the way, they are not naked.

They are clothed. HELLO!

Also, if you can't stand it, don't attend the racing events. DOH! Complain for what?
Sigh.....2020 is coming soon la. Come on Malaysians. Some of them are still thinking in some 'kampung' mindset. Wanna be a developed country? Please la.....
Think rationally if you want to grow up to be a developed country. And don't grow backwards.
Sigh......

Atheism

There's a saying 'God only helps those who help themselves'. So true.....actually.

If you want to achieve something, you have to work for it. There's no shortcut like praying to God and 'voila'.....miracle happens.

I want to have one million ringgit right before me today and voila....it appears....wahhhh how wonderful. Duh...

I want to score in my exam. So I pray and I scored! God's help? Sure? What if you don't even study at all? Will it happened?

I feel God is just a final hope to give spiritual confidence to certain people in dire straits. Religion to me is just a spiritual motivation which is not to be taken seriously or to be relied seriously.

Yet some people go to the extent of spending tons and tons of ringgit hoping that religion would answer their prayers. That is not wise. Or some even use religion to kill innocent civilians. That's terrible.

How sad.....They say launch a war and you will go to heaven. Yea....righttttttt. Come on....

Who on earth actually have seen heaven and hell? Anyone...please put up your hand.... ahhh there you go. No one.

You gotta believe in yourself and think for yourself. You don't have to follow what some people from certain centuries bla bla bla and believe them.

We are in the 21st century already......
Think on your own!

Which Tarot Card Am I

You are The Magician

Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.

Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing,
you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Yea....as if I sell snake oil. Very funny...very funny.....

Transformers the Movie

Michael Bay.....you suck! Suck a lot.....and 'thank you' for spoiling The Transformers.

I'm a huge fan of The Transformers Generation 1 animated series which ran in the 1980s (I remember watching the cartoon very intensely and drooling with saliva dropping to the floor....drip drip...) and can you imagine that.....to witness the ugly mutation of The Transformers right before your eyes.....thanks to Michael Bay.

Thank god Michael Bay respects Optimus Prime and didn't do much changes to him....except for making him look a little bit like Ah Beng with those fire design on his body....
Before
After

Let's see what happened to Bumblebee....maybe quite futuristic i can say....but the original is so much better la...
Before
After

Let's take a look at Jazz. Not bad not bad....
Before
After

What about Ironhide? Oh my god I cant even recognise Ironhide anymore! Don't even what is it! Don't even look like an ambulance!
Before

After......looks like some scrap metal in my neighbour's backyard la....

Boys and girls let's take a look at the destruction of Decepticons.....
MEGATRON!!!! What the heck happened to Megatron! He has been turned into an alien!! I'm so speechless....
Before

After
Starscream....
Before

After...... I can't even figure out where's the head...

And the rest of the Decepticons....Well let's call them Alien Decepticons la...Sigh....they are totally destroyed by Michael Bay.

What the ...... stick robot! Hey, I don't recall seeing a stick robot in the cartoon. My my my what have you done to our poor Frenzy!
Boys and girl, if you haven't watch the original Generation 1 Transformers before and you think the new one is good.....sigh....you miss a lot la....

I don't even know whether I should watch this new Transformers movie or not? The original Transformers The Movie (1987) was so good and enjoyable. I don't think this new 2007 Transformers movie would be on par with the 1987 version. Maybe I should spend my ten ringgit on a McChicken instead....
This movie should be renamed as Alien Transformers la even better....
Sigh.......shaking my head...... SIGH!
